We had a great time at this restaurant; the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious, and it's the first time we've tried Egyptian dishes. We even got the mouloukhia as a complimentary dish. I will definitely come back with great pleasure!

Great discovery and experience! The service was impeccable, the staff was very accommodating as they accepted to prepare specific dishes that weren’t on the menu that day. The servings were very generous and the staff offered us salad, soup, dates as entrées and Egyptian tea at the end. On top of all this, the prices were more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go back!

Egyptian man been hunting for Egyptian food in Paris for years. Tried everything today (almost): Hawawshi (حواوشي) - (10/10) Minced beef with spices and onions in a loaf of Egyptian bread then grilled. Perfect authentic flavor. Juicy, crispy on the outside. Just how it should be. Stuffed cabbage leaves (محشي كرمب) - (10/10) you can tell these were made in a home way with love and not by a machine. Generous portions of the leaves with a juicy delicious interior. Spot on! Stuffed Egyptian Pigeon (حمام محشي بالرز) - (10/10). While at home we make the rice a bit spicer on the inside, this one was spiced and cooked to perfection and served with an additional generous portion of rice. Comes in 2 pigeon pieces which I think if you’re eating just this, they’re both yours! Alexandrian Chopped Liver (كبدة إسكندراني) - (8.5/10) Flavor and spices were 100% on point but it needed some additional oil and less time in the pan a little bit. Pickled Eggplant (بتنجان مخلل) - (10/10) Use this as a side to your meaty dishes, has a nice salty garlicky flavor in a pickled slice of eggplant. Mixed pickles (طرشي) - (10/10) Clean, well pickled, like the best shops out there, must have with all Egyptian food. Grilled lamb chops (ريش مشوية عالفحم) - (10/10) Super crispy outside, tasty and soft inside, properly barbecued the Egyptian way. Grilled Kofta (كفتة مشوية) - (8/10) Delicious and very well spiced but I’m used to Egyptian Kofta being a bit fattier. Rice-Stuffed Mombar (ممبار) - (10/10) as it should be. Think sausage but instead of the casing being stuffed with meat it’s stuffed with a spiced Egyptian rice mix. Crispy outside delicious on the inside. Okra Tajine with Meat Cubes (بامية باللحمة) - 10/10 So authentically Egyptian home food tasting that I want my sisters and parents to try it! Koshari (كشري) - (10/10) This high in carbs Egyptian staple for all walks of society is mastered here. Generous with the crispy onions home made… good ratio of two types of pasta on top of the black lentils and rice. Very generous with the vinegary/lemon/spice mix sauce you add, the chili sauce and the tomato sauce. You mix these to your liking. Molokheyya (ملوخية) - (10/10) This Egyptian soup or stew is made out of slow boiling molokheyya leaves until they form a thick consistency in the broth you’ve added it to. You then pan fry some garlic in vinegar and ghee till it sizzles then mix it in together. An Egyptian magic trick in how good it tastes and they got it RIGHT. Soup Kawarea (شوربة كوارع) - (9/10). Would have given higher rating if the meat / cartilage within was already broken down. FYI this soup is cooked with the cartilage from the feet of cow. Sounds strange but try it and see how delicious it is. If you can’t handle the idea (I’m sure you can handle the taste) then get a chicken or beef orzo soup. Tahini Paste (طحينة) - (10/10) Exactly how it should taste in Egypt. Goes great with mixed grilled meat or chicken Baba Ghanouj (بابا غنوج) - (10/10) Exactly how it should taste in Egypt. Goes great with mixed grilled meat or chicken Chopped Egyptian Salad (سلطة بلدي) - (10/10) Simple with no strange unnecessary additions. Exactly as it should taste to accompany Egyptian food. Local Egyptian Bread (عيش بلدي) - Ignore everywhere else that says pita bread, in reality there’s no fresher better Egyptian bread in Paris !!

Excellent value for money! The quantities are so generous for the price paid. Everything we had was good (soup, dish, drinks, tea…). We had a great time… we felt at home and were very welcomed by everyone. The ambiance is on point if you want to feel like you left Paris for couple of hours. It was actually hard to leave… I will definitely be back for the food, and specially for the service! I highly recommend it.
